Classroom and Meeting Support
Media Services primary purpose is to support the instructional needs of the College. We provide technology support for all classroom and many college sponsored academic functions. We have a variety of equipment which include, conference speakerphones, sound systems, microphones, document cameras, digital projectors and laptops.
Please note: We do not support performances, parties, DJs, bands or have Karaoke equipment
Web Conferencing Equipment
Media Services maintains and provides web conferencing support. We primary assist with classroom needs for conferencing, but can also assist with Zoom questions. We also have ZOOM cameras and conference phones available. We do not support live streaming of College events.
Purchasing Advice and Pricing
Media Services can offer advice on purchasing media and classroom technologies and can help academic and administrative departments assemble their capital budget requests and E&A requests for technology.
Equipment Repair
Media Services can arrange for the repair of all classroom audio visual and college owned faculty office media equipment. This includes amplifiers, speakers, projectors, etc. We also have some loaner equipment that can be installed while equipment is out for repair. Media Services does not handle the repair of personally owned equipment, but will be happy to make recommendations and referrals to the appropriate repair shop.
New Construction and Renovation
The Media Services division is an integral part of the planning, design and implementation of newly constructed and renovated buildings. Media Services will meet with faculty, architects and consultants to determine the specific needs of the teaching space.
Classroom Technology Equipment Upgrade
Department chairs may request additional technology enhanced classrooms and/or upgrades to existing technology enhanced classrooms. Faculty who recognize a need in a particular classroom should work with his or her department chair to make the request.
Videotaping
Media Services staff does not provide this service. The Pomona community can check out video cameras from the ITS Service Desk free of charge.
