First generation and/or low-income students at Â鶹ӰÊÓ form one of the largest student groups on campus: FLI Scholars.
For a decade, Â鶹ӰÊÓ has partnered with , an organization that matches high-achieving, low-income high school students with top-tier colleges and universities across the country. This partnership has not only increased the number of first-generation and low-income students on campus, but it also provides ongoing support to this growing community.
The chapter includes both , as well as any and all students who identify as first-generation and/or low-income. The chapter offers peer mentoring, social events, workshops and support for its members.
FLI Scholars are a diverse group, hailing from various parts of the country, representing all 48 majors, participating in various clubs and organizations, sports and events.
