Mission Statement
The Â鶹ӰÊÓ Community Engagement Center (PCCEC) is an innovative and inclusive safe space dedicated to providing educational opportunities, community collaborations and connections to resources. Our mission is to create an empowering environment that promotes personal growth, creativity, mutual validation, and community support. Together, we strive to inspire sustainable change and positively support the city of Pomona and the surrounding communities.
Community Research Hub
We hope that the physical location of PCCEC within the Arts Colony can help reconnect Â鶹ӰÊÓ with its namesake city. As a research hub, PCCEC strives to build mutually-beneficial, collaborative partnerships between students, faculty, and local community organizations where Claremont College course curricula can fulfill research and data-collection needs of local non-profits and students are provided with hands-on experiences in real-world learning opportunities through facilitating connections between faculty and community partners. The Claremont Colleges consist of an abundance of professors and students excited about working in partnership with community organizations, and these organizations- throughout the Inland Empire- have project ideas and valuable experience to share with the next generation of leaders.
