Notification of Accommodations
Each semester, the student who is registered with ARS must request access to their accommodations using the Online Portal. ARS will email a Notification of Accommodation letter to each instructor. The responsibility of providing academic accommodations does not go into effect until the email is sent.
Faculty will likely receive the majority of the notification letters at the beginning of the term, but they can be received at any time throughout the semester. Accommodations are not retroactive. If notification is presented in the middle of the semester, accommodations are required from that point forward.
Academic accommodations should maintain the academic integrity of the courses and the academic program as a whole while attempting to meet the student's needs. Â鶹ӰÊÓ does not routinely waive academic requirements for students with disabilities. Rather, our policy is to assist the student in his or her efforts to meet Pomona's requirements by making reasonable accommodations. Learn more about implementing the academic accommodations.
