Gilda Ochoa is a Professor of Chicanx/Latinx Studies. She writes about race/ethnicity, education, and communities. She has written three award-winning books: 鈥淎cademic Profiling: Latinos and Asian Americans and the Achievement Gap,鈥 鈥淟earning from Latino Teachers鈥 and 鈥淏ecoming Neighbors in a Mexican American Community: Power, Conflict, and Solidarity.鈥
Linda Vallejo consolidates multiple, international influences gained from a life of study and travel throughout Europe, the United States and Mexico to works that investigate contemporary cultural, spiritual and political issues. Vallejo was featured in the 2016 LA Times Calendar Section piece - #OscarsSoBrown.
