DesCombes has extensive experience through her over 40 years working in large and small firms across industries as broad as film and television, medical and industrial equipment.

Research Interests

Design methods for producing reliable real-time multi-tasking software. These design methods result in software that has both well-defined and well-controlled variability in the data latency. Properly controlling these data latency characteristics results in reduced data staleness and improves system stability.
Low-noise analog circuit design for use in professional audio and video products. The signal bandwidth ranges from DC (O Hz) to 30 MHz.
