Congratulations to Chimwemwe Jere (“Chims”), the August recipient of ITS’ Peer-to-Peer Award! Chims was nominated for his relentless work on our campus-wide wireless upgrades over the summer, helping to ‘Make it Happen.’ Chims handled the upgrades with a calm, quiet efficiency, never losing his good spirits. In total, 1,000 indoor and 90 outdoor access points have been installed through the upgrade. These access points allow the 鶹Ӱ community to roam seamlessly from indoor to outdoor spaces without dropping their connection. For Chims, the best part of the project has been engaging with the diverse 鶹Ӱ community. He looks forward to the final stage of this project, adding new wireless access points to outdoor spaces such as athletic fields. These access points will allow students to share their 鶹Ӱ experiences, by live streaming games and uploading stats in real-time. Thank you Chims for all that you do at ITS to make it happen!
